Revenge of the Horde will continue the main scenario of Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward and will be the final chapter in the Dragonsong War. The team shared a teaser screenshot of the latest episode. Other side scenarios will arrive too, including a new Anima weapon quest and the continuation of the Hildibrand saga.
New beast tribe quests will come in the form of a moogle and dragon faction; their base location was teased, but we imagine it’ll be somewhere in The Churning Mists.
Our two new Level 60 dungeons will include Sohr Khai, an outdoor dungeon seemingly set in The Churning Mists. We’ll also travel back to Hullbreaker Isle (Hard) where the Maelstrom Grand Company have transformed the island into something of a training camp. The next 24-player Alliance Raid will be The Weeping City of Mhach, and will feature vastly different environments the deeper you explore.
Previously referred to as a treasure hunt dungeon, the Aquapolis is a dungeon you can encounter via timeworn dragonskin maps. Up to eight players can enter this dungeon and defeat the monsters within to grab a reward. While the layout isn’t random, you’ll need a bit of luck to proceed further. There’s even something hoarding treasure in its depths. The team also covered The Palace of the Dead for the Japanese crowd, which is a dungeon that can be plumbed solo or with a group and uses an independent levelling system and save points.
A new trial will also be added, but it’s a secret for now. It’ll have a normal difficulty and Extreme difficulty. It’s likely a safe bet that the Warring Triad saga will continue with either Sophia or Zurvan…
We’ll also be getting a new Frontlines map called Field of Glory (Shatter), with a ruleset that will be similar to Seal Rock (Seize).
New housing additions will also come in Patch 3.3, including more plots of land and adjustments to housing prices. Flowerpots and vases will also be added where you can grow flowers — it’s not like the gardening feature that’s already in the game. You’ll also be able to save multiple HUD layouts to switch between, and a Raid Finder will make searching for raid members easier. You’ll be able to set various requirements to join, indicating if you want to practice or clear.
