Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has detailed the content of the first two free download updates for its critically acclaimed PES 2017 title.
KONAMI is committed to continually improving the on-field and presentation elements of PES 2017 and will regularly offer free updates throughout the year. The first download will be available at the end of October, with a second to follow at the end of November, and more to follow.
October’s 1.02 update will add a number of improved facial likenesses to players within the game. PES 2017 is globally recognised for its stunning player likenesses and the use of Player ID systems to ensure the on-field stars both move and play like their real-life counterparts. The October file will recognise over 39 players who have excelled in the early part of the season, and will offer photo-realistic reproductions of the likes of Wissam Ben Yedder, Mario Lemina, Aymeric Laporte, Victor Wanyama and Denis Suarez, and will also see their individual playing styles recreated within the game. The 1.02 download will also update the pitch side hoardings and introduce new official boot styles to the game, including the option of choosing a variety of studs.
With the advent of Sony’s new PlayStationPro® format, KONAMI’s November 1.03 update will introduce a 4K resolution mode within PES 2017, adding greater visual definition running at 60FPS. The 1.03 update will also see the introduction of key elements centred on KONAMI’s premier partnership teams: Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. KONAMI has entered into long term partnerships with both teams and November will see extensive additions designed to reflect the match day experience at the English and German clubs.
Liverpool’s iconic Anfield stadium will be added to PES 2017’s roster on in-game venues, and will also be the first to show the club’s brand new stand within a video game. World recognised Liverpool songs and chants, including ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ will also be heard as the players walk on to the pitch and during matches. Borussia Dortmund’s stunning Signal Iduna Park ground will also be perfectly recreated for use in the game, will both licensed teams will have squad likenesses recreated, bringing the club stars to life.
Both the PES 2017 October and November updates will also add more official iconography and official boot styles to the main game, with kit additions and various bug fixes. More details will be revealed soon.

The Pokémon Company International today announced that the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) expansion, XY—Evolutions, will be made available for Prerelease tournament play two weeks before its official launch date.
Each participant in these tournaments will receive a Prerelease box containing a 22-card Evolution pack, four 10-card booster packs from XY—Evolutions, and an exclusive foil promo card. The Evolution pack provides a solid foundation which, along with the booster packs and Energy provided by the Tournament Organizer, will be used to construct a 40-card deck.
Prerelease tournaments in the UK will be held 22–23 October 2016, and participants will need to provide their Player ID card in order to compete. Anyone without a Player ID can obtain one at registration.
The tournaments will be run using the Limited Format and Age-Modified Swiss pairings. The number of Swiss rounds played will depend on total attendance at the event. All participants are required to be players in good standing and abide by the tournament rules.

Konami announced a new "Metal Gear Solid" video game title called "Metal Gear Survive" along with a teaser trailer during this week's Gamescom 2016. Konami confirmed that the spin-off game is actually a sequel to "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" and will feature a four-player team instead of the series more prominent protagonist, Snake.
The game will be a four-player, online survival game that will follow on from the word of Metal Gear Solid 5.
It will be the first full game made after the series' creator, Hideo Kojima, departed from it. Konami hasn't said how much involvement Mr Kojima will have in the game.

No Man’s Sky has been one of the most hyped up games of the past couple years. On release day, over 212,620 concurrent players helped make it biggest launch on Steam so far this year.
However, reactions among gamers since the launch have been very mixed and there have been a tremendous amount of technical issues reported by players on PC that have caused gamers to abandon their short trips to space. On Steam No Man's sky is getting too much negative review.
This game isn't worth paying that much for it. Hello Games says that it's a vast universe but the game size tells another story. It only gives you the illusion that you are travelling in space while all it does when you hit the light speed travel button or enter a black hole , it regenerates the same place randomly the funny thing about it is that you still keep doing the same thing over and over. Also the story is very weak the aliens are boring.
PC Players are facing crush while playing it. Although Hello Games released a patch to fix this problem but still the game crush time to time. On the other side there are many bugs in game. And there is no way all the animals were created randomly.
There is supposed to be septillions of stars and planets generated, but their algorithm is poor. This results in maybe 12 different planet types and 30 animal species. The interface is utterly terrible. You have to hold to click EVERYTHING. I cannot fathom a reason this has to be for literally EVERYTHING. The galaxy map is the single worst aspect of the UI, a rather galaring flaw for something that wants to do space exploration.
As was covered previously on Slashdot the very hyped up game No Man's Sky was released to a lot of negative reviews about game-crashing bugs and poor interface choices. Now that players have had more time to play the game it has become clear that many of the features hyped by developers are not present in the game, and users quickly started describing the game as "boring".
Now, likely due to misleading advertising, Steam has begun allowing refunds for No Man's Sky regardless of playtime, and there are reports of players getting refunds on the Play Station Network as well despite Sony's strict no refund policy.
Besides Sony, Amazon is also issuing refunds, according to game sites. In response, Sony's former Strategic Content Director, Shahid Kamal Ahmad, wrote on Twitter, "If you're getting a refund after playing a game for 50 hours you're a thief." He later added "Here's the good news: Most players are not thieves. Most players are decent, honest people without whose support there could be no industry."

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 - NEW CHARACTER, UNIQUE NEW MULTIPLAYER MODES AND MORE GAME DETAILS REVEALED
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe has revealed new details on the much awaited DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC Digital slated for release on October 28th.
Players will have the opportunity to embody one of the most awaited and emblematic characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe. The darkest side of Vegeta will get a chance to gain the upper hand once again as Majin Vegeta.
The amount of quests have increased to twice the amount of the previous game as it will also include new versions of parallel quests from the first Xenoverse game as well as a new system for rare item drops that will allow players to hunt for their ideal costumes and accessories.
Players will also be able to enjoy a variety of returning, enhanced and new online modes as they will be able to fight with their own unique avatars in ranked or un-ranked matches. Endless fights will also be available together with the choice of using zero stat avatars for the ultimate showdown in pure fighting skills.
A new ground breaking 6vs1 Expert Mission mode will challenge even the best of players in a very entertaining way as six players try to take down a single NPC boss! Dead by Daylight chapter "The Last Breath" now available on Steam

2K Releases Mafia III “Vito – The Throwback” Trailer
2K and Hangar 13 today released a new trailer for Mafia III titled “Vito – The Throwback” the fourth in a series of six features introducing players to the key characters in the upcoming open-world crime game. This feature highlights Mafia III’s Vito Scaletta, the main protagonist in Mafia II who was exiled to New Bordeaux by the commission from Empire Bay in the events leading up to Mafia III.In “Vito – The Throwback,” gain insight into the man shaken by his past, who’s bound by loyalty even when pushed to the brink, and is set on revenge for a lifelong friend.

Badiya is an infinite procedural survival and exploration game set in the Arabian desert (Think Lawrence of Arabia). Life is harsh in the desert and players must explore and discover the supplies needed for survival. Although the desert is vast, players have the opportunity of discover outposts, villages, camps, and ancient ruins, and will have to deal with the wild-life and local populations of the area. Players must scavenge for tools and weapons, and must hunt for food to survive. Players are free to explore and discover the environment as they see fit, but they must be careful as the inhabitants of the area will treat them according to their behaviour. Badiya is built around the three gameplay pillars of exploration, activities, and combat.
Check out this E3 Gameplay video of Badiya, a survival RPG set in the Arabian desert post World War 1. Badiya features an infinite procedural open world and will be released late Summer on Early Access on Steam (Supports both Arabic and English) and after it is completed it will be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The first release on Steam Early Access is going to be focused on the single player aspect of the game but co-op and multiplayer modes are planned to be added during early access.

2K announced today that XCOM® 2 is coming to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One on September 6, 2016 in North America and September 9, 2016 internationally for £39.99.
Additionally, 2K and Firaxis Games have partnered with industry veterans The Workshop, now a dedicated subsidiary of Skydance Media, to bring the title to consoles and ensure that the XCOM 2 experience meets the same high standards of the beloved series.
Upon its initial release for Windows-based PC, XCOM 2 had critics raving, with IGN giving the game a 9.3 out of 10 and saying, “XCOM 2 is an amazing game,” and PC Gamer writing, “We’ll play this forever,” and awarding a 94% out of 100%. Game Informer Magazine also stated that XCOM 2 is “one of the deepest and most rewarding strategy games on the market” and scored the game a 9.5 out of 10.
“Firaxis has successfully enhanced the XCOM franchise, as XCOM 2 has earned both massive critical and fan acclaim,” said Matt Gorman, vice president of marketing for 2K. “Many console gamers have been vocal about bringing XCOM 2 to their platforms, and now they can look forward to joining the resistance this September.”
XCOM 2, is set 20 years in the future where humanity lost the war against the alien threat and a new world order is in place. XCOM, formerly a secret paramilitary organisation, is largely forgotten and must strike back from the shadows to reclaim Earth from the aliens’ rule and free mankind from its evil plans.
“The incredible reception of XCOM 2 has been rewarding and humbling for the team, and we’ve known console fans have been clamoring to play the game too,” said Jake Solomon, creative director of XCOM 2 at Firaxis Games. “As avid console players ourselves, we’re excited to work with The Workshop to bring XCOM 2 to all of our fans.”
Players who pre-order XCOM 2 will also receive the Resistance Warrior Pack, offering additional soldier customisation options such as bonus outfits, headgear and custom facial war paint. The Resistance Warrior Pack also includes a “Survivor of the Old War,” a new XCOM recruit who will appear in the Avenger’s barracks. Additionally, players who pre-order the XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the XCOM 2 Reinforcement Pack* which includes all paid XCOM 2 DLC along with the base game and Resistance Warrior Pack.

LONDON – June 13, 2016 – Rising Star Games today announced that it will publish the all-new Harvest Moon title, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village, for systems in the Nintendo 3DS™ family, in Europe and beyond, in spring 2017.
In the once prosperous and verdant land known as the Oasis of the Harvest Goddess, many people used to live in harmony in a lush and green place called Skytree Village. However, the power of the Harvest Goddess gradually began to fade and the land became arid and dry.
