Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has detailed the content of the first two free download updates for its critically acclaimed PES 2017 title.
KONAMI is committed to continually improving the on-field and presentation elements of PES 2017 and will regularly offer free updates throughout the year. The first download will be available at the end of October, with a second to follow at the end of November, and more to follow.
October’s 1.02 update will add a number of improved facial likenesses to players within the game. PES 2017 is globally recognised for its stunning player likenesses and the use of Player ID systems to ensure the on-field stars both move and play like their real-life counterparts. The October file will recognise over 39 players who have excelled in the early part of the season, and will offer photo-realistic reproductions of the likes of Wissam Ben Yedder, Mario Lemina, Aymeric Laporte, Victor Wanyama and Denis Suarez, and will also see their individual playing styles recreated within the game. The 1.02 download will also update the pitch side hoardings and introduce new official boot styles to the game, including the option of choosing a variety of studs.
With the advent of Sony’s new PlayStationPro® format, KONAMI’s November 1.03 update will introduce a 4K resolution mode within PES 2017, adding greater visual definition running at 60FPS. The 1.03 update will also see the introduction of key elements centred on KONAMI’s premier partnership teams: Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. KONAMI has entered into long term partnerships with both teams and November will see extensive additions designed to reflect the match day experience at the English and German clubs.
Liverpool’s iconic Anfield stadium will be added to PES 2017’s roster on in-game venues, and will also be the first to show the club’s brand new stand within a video game. World recognised Liverpool songs and chants, including ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ will also be heard as the players walk on to the pitch and during matches. Borussia Dortmund’s stunning Signal Iduna Park ground will also be perfectly recreated for use in the game, will both licensed teams will have squad likenesses recreated, bringing the club stars to life.
Both the PES 2017 October and November updates will also add more official iconography and official boot styles to the main game, with kit additions and various bug fixes. More details will be revealed soon.

The Pokémon Company International today announced that the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) expansion, XY—Evolutions, will be made available for Prerelease tournament play two weeks before its official launch date.
Each participant in these tournaments will receive a Prerelease box containing a 22-card Evolution pack, four 10-card booster packs from XY—Evolutions, and an exclusive foil promo card. The Evolution pack provides a solid foundation which, along with the booster packs and Energy provided by the Tournament Organizer, will be used to construct a 40-card deck.
Prerelease tournaments in the UK will be held 22–23 October 2016, and participants will need to provide their Player ID card in order to compete. Anyone without a Player ID can obtain one at registration.
The tournaments will be run using the Limited Format and Age-Modified Swiss pairings. The number of Swiss rounds played will depend on total attendance at the event. All participants are required to be players in good standing and abide by the tournament rules.

WorldGaming Announces Next $10,000 Video Game Tournament
Leading online video gaming platform, WorldGaming, launched a new title in their $10,000 tournament this week. The new tournament is part of the $10,000 tournament series which launched in August. This series has the company’s largest online prize pool to date - $3,000 for the first place winners for both PS4 and Xbox One for each of the tournament titles.
The second title in the tournament series is one of the most popular basketball video game titles, allowing fans to compete in online brackets and leaderboards through WorldGaming.com and directly via their consoles. Gameplay for this tournament has already begun and continues with the last qualifiers on October 18, 2016.
The top 25 competitors with the most wins during preliminary stages, as well as the top four qualifiers from each elimination bracket, will be selected to compete in the finals on October 23, 2016.
Those interested in competing for the grand prize must sign up for a free WorldGaming account, then register for the online basketball brackets and leaderboards listed on the tournaments page on the site. Konami announced a new "Metal Gear Solid" video game title called "Metal Gear Survive" along with a teaser trailer during this week's Gamescom 2016. Konami confirmed that the spin-off game is actually a sequel to "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" and will feature a four-player team instead of the series more prominent protagonist, Snake.
The game will be a four-player, online survival game that will follow on from the word of Metal Gear Solid 5.
It will be the first full game made after the series' creator, Hideo Kojima, departed from it. Konami hasn't said how much involvement Mr Kojima will have in the game.

No Man’s Sky has been one of the most hyped up games of the past couple years. On release day, over 212,620 concurrent players helped make it biggest launch on Steam so far this year.
However, reactions among gamers since the launch have been very mixed and there have been a tremendous amount of technical issues reported by players on PC that have caused gamers to abandon their short trips to space. On Steam No Man's sky is getting too much negative review.
This game isn't worth paying that much for it. Hello Games says that it's a vast universe but the game size tells another story. It only gives you the illusion that you are travelling in space while all it does when you hit the light speed travel button or enter a black hole , it regenerates the same place randomly the funny thing about it is that you still keep doing the same thing over and over. Also the story is very weak the aliens are boring.
PC Players are facing crush while playing it. Although Hello Games released a patch to fix this problem but still the game crush time to time. On the other side there are many bugs in game. And there is no way all the animals were created randomly.
There is supposed to be septillions of stars and planets generated, but their algorithm is poor. This results in maybe 12 different planet types and 30 animal species. The interface is utterly terrible. You have to hold to click EVERYTHING. I cannot fathom a reason this has to be for literally EVERYTHING. The galaxy map is the single worst aspect of the UI, a rather galaring flaw for something that wants to do space exploration.
As was covered previously on Slashdot the very hyped up game No Man's Sky was released to a lot of negative reviews about game-crashing bugs and poor interface choices. Now that players have had more time to play the game it has become clear that many of the features hyped by developers are not present in the game, and users quickly started describing the game as "boring".
Now, likely due to misleading advertising, Steam has begun allowing refunds for No Man's Sky regardless of playtime, and there are reports of players getting refunds on the Play Station Network as well despite Sony's strict no refund policy.
Besides Sony, Amazon is also issuing refunds, according to game sites. In response, Sony's former Strategic Content Director, Shahid Kamal Ahmad, wrote on Twitter, "If you're getting a refund after playing a game for 50 hours you're a thief." He later added "Here's the good news: Most players are not thieves. Most players are decent, honest people without whose support there could be no industry."

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe has revealed new details on the much awaited DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 for PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC Digital slated for release on October 28th.
Players will have the opportunity to embody one of the most awaited and emblematic characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe. The darkest side of Vegeta will get a chance to gain the upper hand once again as Majin Vegeta.

Join XCOM to free humanity from the aliens’ rule and experience the critically-acclaimed sequel on consoles for the first time 2K announced today that XCOM® 2 is coming to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One on September 6, 2016 in North America and September 9, 2016 internationally for £39.99.
Additionally, 2K and Firaxis Games have partnered with industry veterans The Workshop, now a dedicated subsidiary of Skydance Media, to bring the title to consoles and ensure that the XCOM 2 experience meets the same high standards of the beloved series.

Spring 2017 European release date confirmed for all-new Harvest Moon farming adventure
LONDON – June 13, 2016 – Rising Star Games today announced that it will publish the all-new Harvest Moon title, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village, for systems in the Nintendo 3DS™ family, in Europe and beyond, in spring 2017.
In the once prosperous and verdant land known as the Oasis of the Harvest Goddess, many people used to live in harmony in a lush and green place called Skytree Village. However, the power of the Harvest Goddess gradually began to fade and the land became arid and dry. Now it’s up to you to nurture the seven Skytrees back to health in order to give the Harvest Goddess her power back and, in turn, restore life to this desolate land!
Harvest Moon: Skytree Village weaves a charming farming story and incorporates new features and streamlined gameplay mechanics based on fan feedback. The community has helped shape this all-new adventure just like players will shape and mould the land in the game, with their feedback and input contributing to what will be the most rounded, enjoyable and accessible Harvest Moon yet seen.
Throughout their farming adventure, players will encounter a new cast of characters including a few familiar returning faces, alongside a brand new art style, and new character models. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the RTS videogame adaptation of Games Workshop’s classic tabletop game by Tindalos Interactive today unleashes a new faction: the Space Marines. The Space Marines are playable in the multiplayer modes of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada.
The Space Marines are experts at close-ranged battles, sporting well-armoured ships and specialize in aggressive boarding techniques. In addition, they have access to two unique faction traits which makes them immune to insubordination mechanics and gives them the ability to prioritize their attacks on different subsystems when boarding.

UNREAL ENGINE 4.12 RELEASED!
WHAT’S NEW
Sequencer is ready to use in Unreal Engine 4.12! This is their fully non-linear, real-time cinematics and animation tool, and the successor to Matinee. It has many powerful features, including automatic keyframing, cinematic cameras, and live gameplay recording. Sequencer allows for easier collaboration on large animation projects, because you can freely organize your sequences into as many assets as you want. Sequencer will offer to import your existing Matinee animations when you open them, but Matinee is still supported as well.
A preview of our VR Editor is available in this release! This is a forward-looking feature that allows you to freely navigate your worlds in VR using motion controllers. You can select and move actors, place new objects and even access the editor's UI, all while immersed in VR. This feature currently requires either an HTC Vive or Oculus Touch development hardware. To try it out, simply turn on "Enable VR Editing" in the Experimental section of your Editor Preferences.
Please note, for C++ programmers on Windows: Unreal Engine now requires Visual Studio 2015. All desktop versions of Visual Studio 2015 are supported, including the (free) Express and Community editions. Please upgrade at your convenience.
