The film features original characters but is very true to the spirit of the game.
"It's all new characters," explains director Justin Kurzel. "They've all been designed and created from an original story. But the concepts of the game and the spirit of the game are there. And that is really to do with the idea of having access to your memories, the idea of history and who you are. It's an origin story. So, it's about a man who discovers who he is and the fact that these lives lead back through the years and generations."
Adds producer Jean de Rivieres, "Our approach was to make a standalone movie and, therefore, not to use any of the existing Assassins or main characters from the game. We also felt it was important to expand upon the existing universe and give these fans, who have spent hours immersed in these games, something new."

Expect some "hardcore" stunt work.
"We didn't want our Assassins to float through the air. We want them to land with a thump," says Kurzel. He raves about some of the amazing work his "hardcore" stunt team has been doing. "There's a sense of danger and impulsiveness, and hopefully you can feel that in the film."
But he also wanted the stunts to feel believable. "It's not superheroes flying around with capes. We just wanted to do justice to the idea that these guys were human and they had skills that you could recognize and believe. As soon as it looked impossible, it had to be just on that precipice, and that's what we tried to achieve."

The video game makers always wanted Michael Fassbender as their star.
"Even before talking to potential screenwriters and studio partners, we felt we needed an iconic actor to play our assassin,” says producer de Rivieres. "Michael Fassbender was the obvious choice. He brought both mainstream success and an independent touch to the project. We only went to Michael. No other actor was ever up for the role."

Fassbender plays two roles: an ancient assassin and his convict descendant.
Fassbender plays Aguilar de Nehra, an Assassin during the 15th century Spanish Inquisition. And he also plays modern-day character Callum Lynch, a death row convict whose life is spared when he agrees to an experimental procedure that taps into his genetic memory.
"It feels like two different movies in a way," says Fassbender. "Aguilar is definitely part of a family, and he believes in the Creed. Cal is somebody who’s much more of a drifter, having been in and out of correctional facilities for most of his life. He doesn’t believe in much."

Michael Fassbender worked out for six months for the movie.
"Michael was very keen on doing a lot of stuntwork himself and for it to feel real," says Kurzel. "He worked out for six months. It was incredibly physically demanding. He did a lot of the action scenes, a lot of the hardcore stuff. He wanted, like I did, to not be able to cut to the stunt guy."

It's a Macbeth reunion.
Not only is Michael Fassbender working again with his Macbeth director Justin Kurzel, but Lady Macbeth, Marion Cotillard, co-stars. Fassbender suggested Kurzel for the job.
"Justin just has incredibly good taste,” notes Fassbender. "He’s got a good feel for material, and he’s strong and bold in his choices. There’s a lot at stake in this movie, and that comes across with Justin."
"I had such an amazing experience with Justin and Michael on Macbeth," says Cotillard. "Even before I read it, I wanted to work with them again."

Michael Fassbender is producing the film.
Says Kurzel, "Michael was so much a part of that development. That excited me. I wasn't just working with him as an actor, but it was something he had enormous passion for." He adds that Fassbender has a "forensic" eye for detail.

Marion Cotillard's character is helping Cal -- or is she?
The Oscar winner plays Sofia Rikken, a scientist who helps Cal through his past-life regressions. "Sofia has this ideology, which is a very strong desire to understand violence," notes Cotillard. "Everything in her life is dedicated to finding this, but she'll discover that her father (Jeremy Irons) has another agenda."
Irons plays Alan Rikken, who happens to be a modern-day Templar, an ancient order that is diametrically opposed to the Assassins. "The Templars believe in benign control, whereas the Assassins are obviously all about free will. These are two opposing extremes," says Kurzel.

Will there be an Assassin's Creed 2?
Since IMDb already lists a sequel, Kurzel said the team has definitely thought about it. "We were in Spain, and over a couple of glasses of wine, we'll ask, 'Where do we go next?' It's a delicious cocktail of possibilities. The idea that Michael can go in any kind of time period and play different ancestors is very exciting, and it means you could go for a second or third film. But we're just trying to finish this one."

Activision has confirmed that DLC for Infinite Warfare will be available first for the PS4 users.
More details about multiplayer and the new zombies experience will be announced at a later date. For now, we’re excited to say that PS4 owners will get DLC Map Packs 30 days early. So plan your upcoming holiday season weekends carefully.
Infinite Warfare will redefine what players think of as the traditional narrative experience for the franchise. Human conflict under extreme pressure unpacks character personalities, character depth, and story in a manner that few games have explored. Our goal is to create the most gripping and immersive story ever told in a Call of Duty game. We’re doing that by thrusting players into wartime leadership against a relentless enemy, and making them truly feel the weight of command.
Finally, Infinite Warfare will be the first game in the franchise to venture beyond the reaches of Earth, framing a plausible future war in our solar system. To be clear, we aren’t developing a science fiction or space battle game — Infinite Warfare is first and foremost a Call of Duty game, which means visceral boots-on-the-ground infantry combat as well as piloting combat vehicles. But, by expanding the scope of the action into the vastness of space, we are taking this experience to exciting and surprising places in many ways.

Already trudged through all of what nuclear wasteland simulator Fallout 4 has to offer? Crossed the first two expansions off of your list? Suit up, because it's time to head to Fallout 4's fictional island of Far Harbor on May 19th.
This may be the third expansion as far as Fallout 4 goes, but it's certainly the biggest. Bethesda has just released an official trailer and press release detailing Far Harbor's enormous landmass so you can get an idea of what to expect. To put things in perspective, it won't be as large as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's Shivering Isles expansion, but it will contain more ground to cover than Dawnguard.
Players will join up with Valentine's Detective Agency on a brand new case to search for a secret colony of synths and a mysterious young woman. The titular island of Far Harbor is located off the coast of Maine, and as you'd suspect, it's riddled with dangerous levels of radiation. All the more reason to explore it, right?
High-level weapons and armor will be deployed to aid you in cracking the case, and a whole new wealth of enemies, creepy places to uncover, and more will be presented. This expansion will run you $25 and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Bethesda has announced that Dishonored 2 will be released on November 11.
Dishonored 2 sets players on another revenge quest to reclaim the throne of Dunwall. Set 15 years after the last game, players can either gain vengeance as grizzled series vet Corvo Attano, or empress Emily Kaldwin, a new playable character with unique supernatural powers who was dethroned in the recent coup.
Originally announced last year at E3, the game will feature a single campaign, but will force players to choose whether to play as returning lead Corvo Attano or Emily Kaldwin, the heir to the Dunwall throne who we spent the last game trying to save. Each will have separate sets of powers, some more tentacle-y than others.

Naughty Dog today shared lots of new details regarding Uncharted 4's multiplayer mode. Perhaps the biggest piece of news, shared by game designer Robert Cogburn on the PlayStation Blog, is that all future DLC maps and modes will be free for all players. The game will have microtransactions, and will include things like "vanity and gameplay items," but Cogburn stressed that these can all be earned through gameplay. All future maps and modes will be included with Uncharted 4 at no additional cost, and all vanity and gameplay in-game store items will be unlockable through gameplay!
Roadmap
You will see in our roadmap graphic below that we have full intention of supporting Uncharted 4 Multiplayer for some time, and want to be clear with those intentions. We are going to release quite a bit of content this year, including gameplay items, modes and maps.
How It All Works
A number of systems for our multiplayer DLC economy and have refined them to keep things as simple as possible. The core component revolves around acquiring Relics.
You acquire Relics by either completing daily Challenges or winning matches, and you can spend them on DLC Chests. You will be able to pick between a DLC Vanity Chest or a DLC Gameplay Chest; when you open it, you’ll earn new items. Neither chest type will ever give you a duplicate item.
![]() |
You’ll earn the in-game relics currency just by playing. Those can be spent on chests that have weapons, boosters, and cosmetic items. You won’t get the same unique item twice, so cosmetic items and weapons you already own won’t take up valuable space in subsequent chests. You can purchase Uncharted points with real money that can be used to get more chests, should you choose.
Triple Pack
For those who purchased the Triple Pack (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition), you’ll gain future access to:
- The first-ever single-player story add-on for the Uncharted series
- Two multiplayer packs to enhance your multiplayer experience:
MP Pack #1
– Long Gun
– Booster
– Skin
– Hat
– Taunt
MP Pack #2
– Pistol
– Booster
– Mystical
– Hat

So as all of you hopefully know by now, the Ratchet & Clank movie hits theaters today. The game based on the movie (based on the game) launched on April 12 to rave reviews and has been our fastest selling Ratchet & Clank game to date.
However, what you may not know is some of the behind-the-scenes stories on how the movie came to be. As someone who has worked on every single Ratchet & Clank game (from the original, to the reimagining, to the film itself), I’d like to share a bit with you.
It started back in early 2013, the first test footage of what would become the Ratchet & Clank movie first began circulating the halls of Insomniac Games, eventually reaching myself and a number of others here at PlayStation. Even in its early form, it showed a tremendous amount of promise, and at that moment we all knew we might be sitting on something special.
The test footage was created by Rainmaker Films who, along with Blockade Entertainment, were keen to try and turn Ratchet & Clank into a theatrical feature. This test footage was their proof of concept — and it definitely opened some eyes.
Fast forward to January 2014 and one completed scene of the film was done. It was a sequence that occurs about 5 minutes into the film, where Ratchet shows an elderly old man how he upgraded his space craft in ways only Ratchet could.
Ratchet & Clank (The Movie!)Ratchet & Clank (The Movie!)
To close, even back when all we had was the initial footage of Ratchet & Clank running through an early version of the Metropolis level in the original PS2 game, we knew we had the making of something great. Ratchet & Clank was one of the first projects I worked on in product development, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Nearly 15 years later, we not only got to go back to that original experience and remake it for a new generation, but we also have the Ratchet & Clank theatrical film that brings these characters and world to film audiences everywhere.

“We’re extremely excited to release Episode Two in less than a week! The beautiful, sun-drenched coastal town of Sapienza, Italy is the closest we’ve come to releasing a whole town in a Hitman game. The level is huge and there is so much to do and explore. We can’t wait to see players exploring the mansion, church, beach, tunnels, bio-lab and everything else to be discovered in Sapienza. ” - HITMAN.COM
The second episode of Hitman sees Agent 47 travel to the beautiful, sun-drenched coastal town of Sapienza, Italy. This episode adds a new story mission, new challenges, new weapons and gear, the Italian suit, and — of course — new targets, opportunities, and disguises.
With a whole town to explore, Sapienza really gives you the feeling of needing to plan your hit. There are locals getting ready for work, others relaxing on the beach or fishing in the harbor, and doing some shopping. Many more are visiting the San Giorgio church or watching street entertainers. Sapienza has its own idyllic rhythm and 47’s ultimate task is to complete his objectives without anyone knowing about it. Subtlety is the mark of the true professional.
Those objectives are simple: eliminate Silvio Caruso and Francesca De Santis and destroy their scientific research. If you want to know more, Diana has been trusted with the specifics, as always.
New Contracts Every Week
Hitman Live Content will also continue with Episode Two. We’ve added new content to the game every week since we released the first episode on March 11, and that continues with Episode Two. You’ll be able to create your own contracts and play Featured Contracts that were created in Sapienza as well as play our popular Escalation Contracts. Within the next few weeks, the first Elusive Target will also be available, although we’re not promising that they’ll turn up in Sapienza. We’ll let you know, so keep your eyes and ears open.
Hitman Episode 2, PS4
Alongside Sapienza comes a sizeable game update that adds a host of improvements to the game for all players. Significantly improved loading times, new options for the HUD and Challenges, menu tweaks and updates — plus a whole lot more. Take a look at the full release notes for all the details.
The second target from The Sarajevo Six is also available with the launch of Episode Two. Gary Lunn, also known as “The Enforcer,” has been located in Sapienza, where he is currently working at the Ether corporate bio lab where he is supervising high-level security efforts. Lunn is a highly trained professional and can most likely be found moving around Villa Caruso or the bio lab.
PS4 players have exclusive access to these six bonus contracts that tell a self-contained side-story revolving around former members of a paramilitary unit called CICADA. A new target will be available with each new location, so we’ll have details on the third target when Episode Three takes us to Marrakesh.
Anyone who owns the Full Experience will already be able to see Sapienza listed as a new destination in-game. If you own the Intro Pack, you’ll need to purchase Episode Two separately or buy the Upgrade Pack to also get all future episodes.

Sony is going to bring out a new upgradable PlayStation. The Name of this new PlayStation is PS4K with the code name "NEO".
The release window is unclear, but the schedule for hardware roll-out to developers is black and white: development kits prototype are on their way to studios now. A test kit (debug station, if you like) housed within a non-final chassis - which Sony is asking developers not to show - follows shortly. A second-gen test kit, again not based on the actual retail shell, goes out in June. Sony gives more intensive Neo briefings at its DevCon event in in May, while code submission for Neo-compatible titles begins in August.
According to videogame site Giant Bomb, a number of its sources have confirmed the much-rumoured 'PS4.5' is currently operating under the codename 'Neo' and will feature an upgraded CPU, GPU and RAM.
These sources also claim that from October this year all PS4 games will ship in both a 'Base mode' and a 'Neo mode', meaning every game will operate on the older PS4 currently in circulation and the Neo. The difference being an improved overall performance on the 'Neo' version. The new PS4 will also support 4K, but these sources say not every game will operate at 4K as a standard native.
According to the documents Giant Bomb has seen, the two consoles will still be using the same version of PSN. In these documents, Sony has also stated that that there will be no 'Neo exclusive' titles, a fear many have made since the rumours regarding the PS4.5 started circulating. The report also states that Sony is not allowing for any features or content to made exclusive to the new version, so those that stick with the vanilla PS4 won't be penalised.
| Base PS4 | PS4K Neo | Boost | |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | Eight Jaguar cores clocked at 1.6GHz | Eight Jaguar cores clocked at 2.1GHz | 1.3x |
| GPU | 18 Radeon GCN compute units at 800MHz | 36 'improved' GCN compute units at 911MHz | 2.3x FLOPs |
| Memory | 8GB GDDR5 at 176GB/s | 8GB GDDR5 at 218GB/s | 24% more bandwidth, 512MB more useable memory |
