Call of Duty Ghosts 2 Rumors

The numerous Call of Duty Ghosts 2 rumors suggesting picking up where the 1st Ghosts left off set the stage for a follow-up just before the holiday season. The many rumors surrounding the 2016 Call of Duty game coincide with what we’re expecting as the series has been somewhat predictable over the years. On the current timeline, there are three developers including Infinity Ward/Treyarch, Sledgehammer, and Activision.

Some have been suggesting that one of the three developers would be no longer, but this to be far from the truth. Having three COD developers allows each one to create a better and ultimately gaming experience that’s expected to keep the series at #1 for multiplayer gaming.

We’re already hearing a lot about things to come including a story mode that is believed to be spread out over not just Ghosts 2, but possibly a COD Ghosts 2. The first COD Ghosts suggesting there would be a second for sure, and we’re now hearing the Ghosts series won’t conclude until a third Ghosts that may be launched in 2019. If this rumor is true, it would be the first series that will be spread out over an entire three games.

Call of Duty Ghosts 2 Release Date

Both the official announcement and the release date in the Call of Duty series over the years have been somewhat predictable. Over the past few years, the official announcement has come during the 1st week in May while the release date has come during the 1st and 2nd week in November.

We’re expecting more of the same as the official announcement for Ghosts 2 is expected to be made in early May. We’re also hearing that Infinity Ward and Treyarch are currently looking at the same timeline as previous games. If the latest rumors hold true, gamers can expect the Call of Duty Ghost 2 release date in early November and well before the holidays.

Call of Duty Ghosts 2 Features and Gameplay

Infinity Ward and Treyarch have become known with their creativity, and the many COD Ghosts 2 rumors suggest we’ll be seeing much more. We’re hearing much larger multiplayer maps with new gameplay modes, the return of Zombies, and destructible effects that will resemble gameplay features seen in Battlefield games.

Other rumors we’re hearing suggest a longer storyline mode. Although it seems like the large majority of COD gamers are more interested in multiplayer over the single play mode, we’re hearing the single player mode will be much longer. Offering gameplay of up to 20 hours would be nice, and something that many gamers have been asking for. We’re all hoping for a co-op option for those interested in the storyline mode which will only add to the play-ability of multiplayer gaming.

The storyline mode is expected to continue right where the 2nd left off. After a brief monologue taking you back to the original Ghosts, the blending between one and two is expected to offer a smooth transition resembling more of a movie than a console game. The Ghosts, who are an elite group of US Special Ops forces look to once again traverse the terrain, cities, water, and much more. We may expect to see stints in the Amazon Jungle, snow of Antarctica, the mountains of Andes, and some very familiar locations throughout the US.

As is the case with previous COD games, expect to see some new guns, options, and some new sidekicks that can be called upon while in action. Many of the original protagonists are expected to return such as Logan, Rourke, and other familiar Ghosts. Familiar gameplay modes including the popular Squads which first debuted in the original, Extinction, along with campaign, multiplayer, and competitive.
